Ronald Coleman has been a member of the Univerity of Utah faculty since 1973. American history is his primary field of study with an emphasis on African American history. He also teaches in the Ethnic Studies Program and the Honors College. Coleman is currently a member of the Utah Board of State History and the Cottonwood Heights History Committee.

Research Statement

I am currently researching the history of Blacks in Utah over four decades 1940-1980 with the intent writing a history of African Americans in Utah from the time of LDS settlement to 1980.
